As we close out 2024, we extend our heartfelt thanks to you for being part of Prospera Credit Union. Over the past several years, we’ve navigated change and growth together, always with an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right for our members and the communities we serve.

In an industry that continues to experience rapid change, our focus remains on what truly matters—supporting your financial well-being and acting in your best interests. Across the financial sector, we’re seeing increased consolidation, a heightened focus on cyber security and greater expectations from consumers around a seamless experience between physical and digital banking channels. While trends may shift, our purpose is steadfast: to serve you, our members, with integrity, honesty and commitment.

A year of positive momentum for our members

One welcome change this year has been the reduction in interest rates, bringing much needed relief to many members managing mortgages and loans. We also made significant investments to enhance your digital experience and ensure that your personal and financial information is protected. While we have much more to do, these advancements are just a few of the ways we’re making banking with Prospera easier, safer and more accessible—now and into the future.

Across Canada, credit unions play a critical role in supporting communities and advancing financial wellness. As part of this strong and growing system, Prospera is dedicated to making a positive, lasting impact through our local presence and member-driven values.

Supporting our community

At Prospera, our commitment to community is foundational. In 2024, we invested more than $1 million into initiatives that uplift the communities where we live and work. Our partnerships with organizations like Archway Community Services, KCR Community Resources and Special Olympics BC are a few examples of how we strive to make a meaningful impact on local business, health and education.

Looking forward to 2025

As we look ahead, we’re excited to introduce new initiatives that support your financial goals. From expanded access to personalized financial advice to continued investment in our digital services, we’re committed to offering solutions that meet your needs. We’re also inviting all members to a complimentary Financial Health Check in early 2025—a tool to help you assess your current financial needs and uncover opportunities.
