Prospera Credit Union nominated for a YWCA Women of Distinction Award

Surrey, BC – In honour of International Women’s Day, Prospera is pleased to announce the credit union is a YWCA Women of Distinction Award nominee in the Outstanding Workplace category.

This award category recognizes a business or organization that has implemented a unique workplace culture. According to the YWCA, it supports and responds to the diverse needs of its employees, encouraging them to balance the demands and rewards of career, family, community and personal growth. This business or organization acknowledges the additional challenges that its female employees may face and proactively supports the success and advancement of women in its workplace.

Prospera offers several programs and initiatives that benefit women, enhance well-being for all employees and their dependents, and promote diversity, equity and inclusion. They include the Prospera Women’s Network (an employee resource group), a flexible work program for corporate employees, a weekly call focused on wellness, plus complimentary access to online fitness, nutrition and mindfulness classes.

The YWCA Women of Distinction Award recipients will be announced at a ceremony at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver on May 13.
