Carsten Mildenstein

Biography

Carsten joined Prospera in November 2024 as VP, Credit. His team’s responsibilities include managing Prospera’s credit appetite, making credit decisions across our lending portfolios, working with members who run into financial difficulties and ensuring loan portfolio performance. 

He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in financial services, including VP roles at First West Credit Union, including the VP, Credit Risk Management position. His most recent role was VP, Credit and Risk at SilverChef Rentals and Econolease Financial.

With a passion for continuous learning, Carsten has earned several degrees and certificates, including MBA and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Calgary, as well as a master’s certificate in Risk Management and Business Performance from York University’s Schulich School of Business. He also holds the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
