Cary Ransome

Biography

Cary joined Prospera as Chief Member Experience Officer in May 2022. He supports our FUSE strategy and is integral in helping optimize the member experience at Prospera. To ensure strong collaboration and an aligned approach to advancing strategic objectives, all lines of business report to Cary.

He has more than 30 years of broad leadership experience in the Canadian financial services industry. Cary’s previous role was Chief Retail and Operating Officer at Innovation Credit Union in Saskatoon. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Conexus Credit Union in Regina, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Servus Credit Union in Edmonton and VP of Superior North District (Ontario) at TD Bank.

Cary has an MBA from Athabasca University and holds the CFP, PFP and ICD.D designations. He is also a graduate of the Queen’s University leadership program.

In addition, Cary is active in the credit union system, most recently sitting on the board of Wyth Financial (formerly Concentra Bank), while also actively working with the Large Credit Union Coalition’s operations group.

Supporting community is an area near and dear to Cary’s heart; always being active in the communities where he and his family have lived and served. He currently serves on the board of the Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford. Cary was also on the board of Ronald McDonald House – Saskatchewan, as well as former Vice-Chair of the Regina Food Bank.
